On the corner of The Grassmarket Hotel is Victoria Street, Edinburgh (Originally called the West Bow), famous for its multi-coloured shopfronts, elegant curves and historic architecture. The curvy street is filled with unique gift shops, stylish restaurants and bars and independent boutiques.  J.K Rowling based Diagon Alley from Harry Potter on this street, which is only located a few streets from The Elephant House where J.K Rowling sat and wrote much of her early novels in the back room overlooking Edinburgh Castle

This little street is often missed by tourists due it being tucked away in the Old Town, lucky for you when staying at The Grassmarket Hotel this is the street that connects the Grassmarket area to the famous Royal Mile so no excuse for missing out on it during your visit.
